HOW MY WORK WITH WE DEFEND TRUTH HELPED SHIFT THE 2020 ELECTION
Since 2020, I’ve worked as the Creative Director for We Defend Truth, and that work is featured in Chapter 7 of The Lie Detectives by New York Times bestselling author Sasha Issenberg. The chapter highlights my creative direction and the major role our content played in helping shift votes toward Democratic candidates during the presidential election. Issenberg points out how WDT’s campaigns stood out from traditional political ads, both in how far they reached and how much they resonated.
On The Politics Guys podcast, host Mike Erickson brings up one of my most viral GIFs saying, “Who hasn’t seen that one?!” during an interview with Issenberg about the book. Sasha explains how my viral posts on Reddit and Imgur led to my role with We Defend Truth, where my entertaining, attention-grabbing content became a key part of our political messaging strategy.
